The five people you meet(if you want to)

  • Mood: on the down low
  • Music: avenged sevenfold
  • Quote: "I will show you fear in a handful of dust."-t.s. eliot
  • What I'm reading now: maupassant-collected stories

I don't really have anything to say today, so I thought I would put up a sort of quiz to see what kind of answers I get.  Nothing too complicated though.  I was just wondering if you had the choice, barring any physical, language, or temporal barrier, which five people you would like to meet(living or dead).  You don't have to put why, I think the answers are interesting enough, but feel free if you want to.  Mine are:

1.  Socrates (c'mon, he's the father of modern thought)

2.  Albert Einstein (any conversation with him would be fascinating, but I think just hanging out with him would be cool)

3.  Jesus (it might be a slighty obvious choice, but I'm betting that he's completely different than what we think)

4.  Fyodor Dostoevsky (he wrote one of my all-time favorite books, The Brothers Karamozov.  I'd like to pick his brain to learn how he could write so badly and yet make you feel so much)

5.  Lao tzu (my namesake.  Whether or not he actually existed or even wrote the book of changes, I'd still like to meet the man who can say so much with so little)

That's it, bitches.  Hit me back with your best answers.  Peace .

Hmmm, I would have to think about all of the ones I would want to meet ~

1. Evangeline Lilly ~ you knew that would be my first choice
2. Silver RavenWolf ~ She writes amazing books on my faith and I would love to gain more insight from her.
3. Barbara Walters ~ only because ever since I was little, I aspired to be like her. I would love to ask her a few questions.
4. The guy who wrote the MM ~ Simply because I would like to tell him where to stick it if nothing else
5. Kurt Cobain ~ To me, he was a musical genius and also had a real talent for writing. He had so much inside his head ~ and he single handedly brought in the era of grunge. Just someone I would like to meet.

There ya go, baby ~ My answers. Thought-provoking and deep ~ thank you!

Signed,
Bitch #1

1) John Lennon - My mother adored the Beatles and so I grew up listening to their old songs - only ever liked Lennon though and he always seemed pretty cool and I loved his sarcasm.
2) Lao Tzu, same as you, or, if there was more than one of him, all the writers who contributed to the Tao Te Ching.
3) Karl Marx, because , whatever you may think of communism as it was developed in various countries, his original plan was good - if only the capitalists had allowed it to be carried out. And he foresaw the growth of capitalism as it is today (all encompassing) back in 1848 - now that's pretty good going in my book!
4)Jarvis Cocker - lead singer with the 'Brit Pop' band, 'Pulp'. He writes lyrics that are so simple, but always hit a spot with me - and I would like to commend him for his 'mooning' put-down of Michael Jackson ;)
5) And my dad - he died when I was young. He was a really clever man, with a pretty interesting background too. There are so many things I would have liked to talk to him about, but never had the chance to.

And that's my five - but I'll probably change my mind if you ask me again next week ;)

5 people?
1) Georges Simenon (my favourite writer)
2) Kurt Cobain (I am agree with Passionate Poet: he was a musical genius)
3) Johnny Depp (just to spend a night with him and break his heart ;-)
4) Paul Verlaine (to talk about Love & Poetry)
5) Raffaele Scalese (he's a filmaker and I've lost his number... RAFFAELE CALL ME PLEASE! I'VE GOT A PLOT FOT YOU!)

This is a really good question ... hm ...
Jesus--just to be face-to-face
This might seem strange, and don't know their names, but I would like to meet and speak with the people who are just behind in pecking order of the top international political leaders (living), and then add the economic leders second in command. I know that sounds kind of strange, but if you knew my background it would be really an expected answer. Then I would go with my favorite authors.
